Deed Processing

All deeds need to start in the Assessor’s Office, then the Auditor’s Office and conclude in the Recorder’s Office.

The Assessor’s office, Auditor’s Office, and the Recorder’s Office will not be able to process deeds after 3:00 pm. We will be happy to help you with any needs you may have until 4:00 pm.

recorder's Responsibilites

The chief function of the Recorder is to preserve public records, including deeds, mortgages, liens, leases, articles of incorporation and amendments, certificates authorizing foreign corporations to do business within the state, military discharges, and other documents. The recorder receives a fee for recording instruments and certificates; the fees are county property and are paid into the county treasury.
